By plane

The most convenient airports to reach Göttingen are Frankfurt am Main and Hannover Airport. There are train connections from both airports to Göttingen. Travel time from Frankfurt is about 2 hours, and from Hannover is about 1 hour. First take a train to the respective central station (Hauptbahnhof/Hbf) and from there a connection to Göttingen.
